This program will be alternating in person and online.

Located at the Centre for Family Literacy:

*Time to practise skills

*Transportation can be provided if needed

January 17:  Gmail

Learn the basics for using gmail, including helpful tips and tricks to keep yourself organized. If you’re someone struggling with 1000 unread emails and your inbox is full of spam mail  - we can help!

January 31: Typing and Keyboarding

Stop typing with just one finger! You can learn how to type correctly and efficiently. Understand keyboard shortcuts, improve your typing speed and gain new computer skills. 

February 14: Online Safety for Parents and Families

As children grow and the internet evolves, it can be difficult to keep up with online developments. Gain education and resources for how to keep your child safe when using the internet - be prepared, not scared. 

February 28: Budgeting/Financial Literacy

Making a budget is one of the simplest things you can do to get your finances in order. A budget can help you track your spending, save money, and make better financial decisions. This workshop will walk you through each step for making a budget using Google Sheets.

March 13: Create Your Own Digital Cookbook

A recipe book that works best for a busy lifestyle is one that has recipes that are quick and easy to find. In this workshop, participants will organize a digital recipe book in Google Slides with their favourite recipes and arrange them by category. 

Zoom Sessions: January 24, February 7, February 21, March 6,  March 20. 

Join us online every second week for workshop extension classes. This will also be an opportunity to  share your work and ask questions you might have about workshop content or any other computer-related issues.
